Consolidation Hockey Equipment Bauer buys MISSION-ITECH. In Toronto Bauer Hockey has purchased Mission-Itech Hockey, a maker of Goalie equipment and protective gear in ongoing Consolidations of Hockey Industry.

Since 1927, Bauer is in hockey business had purchased NIKE fron Canstar for US$395 million but sold several of its manufacturing businesses in late 1990's.

Bauer Hockey said that in addition of MISSION-ITECH will strengthen it's position in all over the marketplace.

Mission-Itech

MISSION-ITECH's facilities in Kirkland Que., has distribution facility in Plattsburgh, N.Y. will remain open until May 31, 2009 - and then close in a multi-stage process 140 non-union employees.
